Welcome to A Dress A Day! We’re so glad you’ve chosen us to be part of your special moments. By visiting our website www.adressaday.com.au or hiring from us, you agree to the terms below. These terms exist to keep things clear, fair and enjoyable for everyone.
1. Who We Are

A Dress A Day is operated by ADAD Family Trust as trustee for A Dress A Day

“You / Your” = anyone browsing, purchasing, or hiring with us.

All hires are a contract between you and us, and by booking you agree to these terms, our Website Terms of Use, and our Privacy Policy.
2. Payments
-
The hire fee includes the garment rental price, postage, and any other fees shown at checkout.

When you book, you authorise us to charge your chosen payment method for:

Rental fees
-
Late fees (if applicable)

Damage/loss costs if a garment is not returned or is damaged beyond repair

If an item is not returned or is irreparably damaged, you may be charged up to 200% of the retail value listed on our website.
3. Identification & Security

For security, we may ask for a valid photo ID (driver’s licence or passport).

If ID is not provided, your booking may be cancelled and a refund will not apply.

This helps us protect both our garments and our customers.
4. Ownership of Garments

All garments remain the property of A Dress A Day at all times.

You agree to:
-
Look after garments carefully.
-
Never force zips or fittings.
-
Avoid alterations unless we’ve approved them in writing.
5. Clearance Sales & Accessories
-
All clearance or “buy to keep” sales are final (no returns or exchanges).
-
Accessories are non-returnable.
-
Clearance items may show gentle signs of wear; please ask us for condition details before purchasing if you’d like reassurance.
6. Booking Period
-
Rental periods are inclusive. Example: a 4-day hire starting Friday means the dress must be posted back Monday.

Your return day counts as part of the hire period.
7. Delivery & Last-Minute Orders
-
Parcels are sent Authority to Leave unless you select signature. Once delivered, responsibility transfers to you.
-
Last-minute orders (placed within 3 business days of your event) come with credit note refunds only if delayed.
8. If Delivery Is Late
-
If you booked at least 3 business days ahead and your order arrives too late: full refund (if unworn and returned with tags intact).
-
If it’s a last-minute booking: credit note only.
-
No refunds for minor courier delays where the item still arrives in time to wear.
-
No refunds if the address provided was incorrect or incomplete.
9. Fit & Style Issues

We can’t guarantee fit as everyone’s body is unique.

If a style doesn’t suit, you may:

Submit a return request within 24 hours of receiving it.
-
Return it unworn, with hang tags attached.
-
Receive a credit note less $10 cancellation fee + postage.
10. Cancellations
-
Credit note valid for 3 years (minus $10.95 if paid with AfterPay/ZipPay).
11. Returns
-
Every hire includes a pre-paid return satchel.
-
Lodge it over the counter at Australia Post before 4 PM on your return date.
-
Posting in a street box is at your own risk. If it isn’t scanned or goes missing, you may be charged for the garment.
-
Late returns: $30 per day, capped at 200% RRP.
12. Cleaning
-
Professional cleaning is included. Please don’t attempt to clean or alter garments yourself.
-
Minor creasing from postage isn’t grounds for a refund.
13. Damage or Loss
-
If your garment arrives damaged, notify us with photos immediately (tags still on).
-
Optional damage insurance ($10.95) covers repairs up to $100.
-
Repairs above $100 are your responsibility.
-
If a garment is deemed irreparable, you’ll be charged the full retail value.
-
If an item is lost or not returned, you’ll be charged 200% of retail value.
14. Collections & Enforcement

Unpaid charges will be referred to a debt collection agency.
-
You will be responsible for all recovery costs.
15. Credits, Gift Cards & Discounts
-
Valid for 3 years.
-
Non-refundable.
-
Only one discount code per order.
16. Refusal of Service
-
We may refuse bookings if identification isn’t provided or if you’ve previously breached our terms.
